Cancel Claude Pro or Max on web or desktop.

If you subscribed on claude.ai or Claude Desktop, Anthropic says to open Settings > Billing and click Cancel. Pro and Max use the same cancellation path.

Web and desktop cancellation steps.

Sign in to the paid account

Use the email that appears on the Anthropic receipt. If you sign into a different account, the Billing screen may show Free.

Open Settings

Click your initials or name in the lower-left corner and choose Settings.

Go to Billing

Navigate to Settings > Billing. Anthropic’s article says the Cancel button is there for web and desktop subscriptions.

Click Cancel and confirm

Follow prompts until you see the plan end date. Save the screenshot.

Keep using until end date

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Cancel 24h early

Anthropic says cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date to avoid the next charge.

The tier does not change the cancel path.
